One of Europe's great Pride events returns to the streets of Rome on Saturday, June 20, 2026, with this year's edition built around the theme "The Republic belongs to those who live in it," a direct and deliberate challenge to the current political climate in Italy.

This year's ambassadors are musicians Levante, Francesca Michielin and Margherita Vicario, bringing significant cultural weight to an event that has always balanced celebration with serious advocacy.

Now in its 32nd year, Roma Pride has one of the longest histories of any Pride event in southern Europe, dating back to 1994, and draws hundreds of thousands of people through the city centre each June.

For LGBTQ+ travellers, marching through Rome during Pride is an experience that needs little selling: the backdrop alone is extraordinary, and the energy of the crowd matches it every step of the way.
